When navigating, even a single degree off-course, given time and momentum, will lead you a long way from your intended destination. Getting lost can happen in a boat on a lake, in a car in the city, and even on a walk through the park. But you can also get lost in relationships, in business, and even we, the church, can lose our way.
Often attributed as the first and most effective missionary, the Apostle Paul traveled throughout the Middle East and Europe with the Good News of Jesus. As he traveled, Paul inspired the first Christian churches in the key places that he visited where he appointed households and leaders to persevere as the Church. Paul’s second missionary journey gives us a glimpse into his strategy to connect and re-connect the Church to the core mission of Jesus. Even the church he had just established needed some critical course-correction. Is there a message from the Apostle Paul to the church today as we strive to reconnect to Jesus’ core mission—a message to get the church back on track. reCONNECT. reMISSION.
